CAROLINE AIGLE, THE FIRST FRENCH WOMAN FIGHTER PILOT...

The PAF (Patrouille de France) will fly over Merignac (France) for a tribute to a legend in France : Commandant Caroline Aigle.
After the elite mountain infantry (chasseurs alpins) and Polytechnique, Caroline joined the French Air Force and the 28 mai 1999, became the first woman fighter pilot in the French Air Force.
She was assigned to the Mirage 2000-5 from the squadron 2/2 "Côte-d'Or".
She had been diagnosed by a melanoma one month before her 33rd birthday.
She died the 21 August 2007.
She had 2 sons : Marc and Gabriel
A street with her name will be created today as a tribute...
Caroline had opened the supersonic way to us, women...
